Delete account

This page applies to the uniryd mobile app.
How to delete your account. The recommended way is in the app: open Profile → Delete my account. You will confirm by typing DELETE; your account and associated data are then permanently deleted.
Request deletion by email. If you cannot use the app or prefer to request by email, send a message to hello@uniryd.com from the email address you want us to use for follow-up. Include:
- Your phone number used to sign in (E.164 format, e.g. +19876543210)
- The request: "Please delete my uniryd account and associated data"
What we delete. When we process your request, we delete your account and associated data from uniryd, including:
- Authentication account (phone sign-in)
- Profile (name, college, preferences)
- Ride posts you created
- Ride confirmations linked to your account
- Messages and conversations
- Push notification tokens linked to your account
- Block list entries linked to your account
What we may retain. We may keep limited information where required for safety, fraud prevention, or legal compliance (for example, records of abuse reports) and routine server logs.
Retention period. We aim to complete deletion requests within 30 days. Backup copies may persist for a limited period (typically up to 30 days) before being overwritten.
