Privacy policy

uniryd ("we", "our") is an app for students to coordinate rides with others at their college—like a campus-wide chat for rides in one place. We do not provide or operate transport; students arrange among themselves. This policy describes how we handle information when you use the uniryd mobile app.

Information we collect. We collect the information you provide: phone number (for sign-in), display name, college, and optional profile details. When you use the app we store ride posts, messages, and usage data necessary to run the service.

How we use it. We use this to provide the app (auth, rides, chat, notifications), improve the product, and comply with law. We do not sell your personal data.

Data storage. Data is stored on secure servers (Supabase and related services). We use industry-standard practices to protect your data.

Third parties. We use Supabase (auth and database), Expo (push notifications), and may use map providers (e.g. Google). Their privacy policies apply to their processing.

Your rights. You can update or delete your profile in the app. To request deletion of your account or data, contact us via the in-app Feedback option or email hello@uniryd.com.

Changes. We may update this policy; we will post the updated version and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
